Okay, if you have an ED or other legitimate reason that knowing your weight is harmful to you, ask your doctor’s office for accommodation (I.e they don’t confront you with the number). Some of us just wanna know if the digestive system is doing something screwy and whether the damn lawn chair is gonna break.

Hmm. Wallet seems kinda underpowered? You’d have to use it for two and a half years without spending any of the money to even become a millionaire. I suppose the credit card rule would help a lot, but you couldn’t use it to wipe out a non-card-based debt, and it’d take a while to build that card limit up. The cash feature would barely be enough to pay medical bills in my two-person family, if I didn’t have good benefits.

But is it really laziness if you took an action instead of just waiting around? Sounds more like impatience.

Not strictly speaking true. The ER doctor has to treat you. Now, if you have potentially fatal cancer, they don’t have to give you chemo.... but they do have to try to give you CPR when the cancer does kill you *rolls eyes*. So... the difference is mostly the speed with which the condition will kill you.

Not being able to smoke, drink, or vote don’t have documented impact on the risk of lasting mental illness and suicide. Not being able to express gender or sexuality do.

If something can turn this from “chronic illness” to “cured” (for a family member) I’ll be happy.

I had that happen a while back - sudden chest pressure/pain - and the sad thing is my first thought was “welp, probably won’t have to go to work tomorrow.”
