We have a similar Miele washing machine. It has never, in about ten years, taken a single piece of clothing hostage (or even have a clogged filter, or any kind of problem whatsoever). That can't be said of the Bosch and Bauknecht machines that came before it.

On a serious note: ravens are a lot larger than crows. A raven has a wingspan that's about a foot (30cm) larger than a crow's, and its body length is about 8 inches (20cm) longer. That's the easiest way to tell them apart.
