"Fake" diamonds can be almost indistinguishable from the real thing, and often look better than all by the highest range of real ones out there. They also usually come at a fraction of the price so they can be a pretty good alternative as well.

You are correct that they are the same image, but the lizard's shadow wouldn't be visible in the frame anyway (look at the lady's shadow, almost straight down).
Pay close attention to the crack by the lizards head and a small white wave under its tale.

Almost all phone cameras these days have an option to change the resolution of photos taken. Typically, Android has it within the camera app, while Apple has it in the settings.

Had the same thing happen in my last house I moved out of, and nobody who lived there smoked. That happens with any carpet that isn't extremely thoroughly cleaned regularly, Smoking does cause it to happen faster though, and affects much more than just the carpets.
