That might be slightly funny, in an ironical way, if "death" meant anything at all. [ a heads-up: in this body, cells have been "dying" for approximately 29 THOUSAND days, or thereabouts. ]

Sorry, this is unrelated to the post, but why does my FS say the post was "A moment ago" but the comments say "9/10 hours ago"?

So I found the article:
https://www.buzzfeed.com/pablovaldivia/we-need-to-talk-about-cargo-shorts
And the only thing I can make out from it is that someone's salty that cargo extra pockets.
Seriously, "A Lack of Pockets" seems to be the only common trait among all the alternatives presented by the article (most of which do nothing to look any better anyway).

Commander Rourke in Atlantis was willing to let an entire advanced and undiscovered civilization, and people he's worked with for years die because he wanted some money.

I don't care how "cute" this is meant to be, the grainy, dark, looming figure with the glowing eye is bloody terrifying.

I'd say it's more likely some stuff ate at it after it died. But yeah, it likely froze to death in that position.

This is misleading and dangerous.
Teaching kids that spiders like this have the faintest chance of being taken down by a sword will give kids bad habits that will lead to someone getting hurt or dying. Preparing kids to get into situations like this will give them a false conception of their ability to get anywhere near this close before the spider has a chance to say g'day. This is a waste of education that will foolishly embolden kids when they should instead be attending the government funded Heavy Ordinance, Incineration, and Artillery(tm) classes at their local community center or library.
