Vegans couldn't live their lifestyle a hundred years ago. Only modern farming techniques and processes make that possible. Vegetarians, for the most part, one hundred years ago were only vegetarians by necessity because of an allergy or something else. Vegans just need to stop and respect others for their choices and decisions instead of throwing it in people's faces. What happened to agree to disagree. Honestly if you see animal abuse, usually some of the first people to call on crackdowns are those who eat meat for many reasons.

Marijuana ad campaign doesn't make sense 15 comments

Unpopular opinion here, but while I don't support Marijuana for recreational use as it stands now, I do support it for medical use. And I define medical as pretty broad including therapists for their patients. It's use as being as good or even better than prescriptions is well documented and honestly is better.
However, if a system was in place to control and responsibly dispense for recreation use, then I honestly wouldn't have objections. Something like authorized dealers, but that's me.

Year: How far in the future can we do this?
University: Sport stadiums are only used infrequently
Wifi: Because Apple is overrated
Biggest Wish: Not saying
Private Island: Jets are things that require airports and that can cause problems
Minds: DUH
Real Money: You can do a lot with $100k
Best Friends: I'd rather have a friend than a crush that will break up
Dream Car: Tesla baby
Ninja: Pirates are overrated Ninjas actually have useful skills
Continue: "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" Cheesy I know but it is true. You have to deal with both the good and the bad.
Harry Potter World: Fame is overrated and you have to deal with the stupid cameras 24/7. No privacy
See the future: This can help anyone, not just yourself. And you could make a living off of it. Minds in this case is somewhat less.

When gordon ramsay shows his good side 12 comments
atreinero · 9 years ago
Ramsey knows how to talk to kids because he addresses the children of others as he would like others to address his children. He gives encouragement because he knows that sometimes a nice word or sentence can turn someone around. He does it on Hell's Kitchen and his other shows. Granted not often, but you do see his softer side.
He's done some bad things sure, who hasn't, but he knows when to yell and when to encourage. He's always had a soft spot for kids.

The pains of shopping with women 19 comments
atreinero · 9 years ago
What's funny is that whenever I go shopping with my mother, we are in and out quickly, with exactly what we came here for, and maybe something else. When I go shopping with my father, he takes FOREVER! Granted I walk around a bit in an electronics store like Best Buy, Fry's, or GameStop, but I'm not stupid. My mother hats shopping with my dad for this reason. Also why I find an excuse to not do so. But since school is over I"m in trouble.

Try France. And that was from WWI when we had no idea what a tank was. The US Army liked the French Renault FT because it was what we call today a light tank. It could move fast and keep up with advancing infantry and also could shield them from the machine guns while it had its own to shoot back with. It could also be produced faster and more efficiently, also easily upgraded.
Problem was that the US Army in WWI was understaffed and was more arrogant so they just gave up and went with the British ones, which while powerful, had more problems.
Everyone gives the French a lot of crap about their military, but every now and then they do something right. This was one of those times. To bad it was lost on arrogant US Army officers.
Also we do owe much of modern tank design to that tank. It was the first with a rotatable turret, the first full tread design, and easy to use steering.
For those keeping score, the US had no tanks in WWI, and WWII our tanks had issues.

The real sad thing, it was a decent light tank.

Dogs, Cats, and many other pets do this as well. Many people forget how intelligent they are and that they can sense things that we might miss or don't think they can feel.

This is so true. My mom, 2 cousins, 1 cousin-in-law, and 3 friends are teachers. They all know how bad this is.
It is fact that some students can ace a multiple choice test and suck in a class. While others can suck on a test, and ace a class. It isn't a good way to teach students or judge progress.

Take that title and shove it. It is stories like this that actually remind me that there is some hope for our species. But it is titles like that that also remind me of all of the stupidity.
