When a student wants to improve their grade point average outside of regular class activities. The student is given an assignment or something similar to complete and the teacher awards extra credit. This boosts their grade is all. It's pretty useful when your grades aren't as spectacular as you want them to be.

My favorite color... It's the color of the smell of a late - your calendar says spring has ended, but it doesn't quite feel like summer, yet- day. As a warm/cool, humid/crisp, unpleasantly/wonderful breeze rumples your clothing and run its intangible fingers through your hair and you breathe deeply and briefly catch a whiff of an oncoming rain shower. :)
