Sympathy matters when the one that decides if i crime was committed is a jury, plus it's not a crime to build a snowman around a public space but it is a crime to drive over the curb...

Vosotros is the plural of tu/vos. Usted is the formal of tu/vos. They are different things. In argentina usted is respectful, not rude. And in argentina we don't use vosotros but ustedes, i don't know if it's the same way in other countries...
