Remember, these people can vote and politicians must pander to the lowest common denominator. I weep for society. These people can barely breathe on their own much less decide public policy...

And no, I would not die for a law that restricts your right to do what you want with YOUR property. Are you seriously advocating the government be able to tell you what to do with YOUR property? That's crazy to an incredible degree.

Yes, absolutely. And yes they can. Tell me why they cannot? I would be saying the same thing. I think if I wanna open an LGTB dwarf only business, or a kkk only business that the government has no right to interfere. I would applaud them. The community will decide wether they want to support these businesses with their money. I don't think they will last long, but I think if they want to buy a property to do something silly like that with then more power to them. It's, again, a basic human right. Tell me legally why people shouldn't be able to do these things?
And @mgoveia, you've set up too many false comparisons for me to bother replying to them all individually. The freedom of association is a right reserved for individuals, not governement. So no, it has nothing to do with voting rights.

Your reading comprehension is terrible so I'll use smaller words...
1) I am for gay rights.
2) Businesses have the right to refuse service to ANYONE for any reason constitutionally
3) I never said I agreed with their actions. Nor do I agree with your stupidity. You're both on the same level to me. But I WOULD die to protect your right to be so stupid. Also their rights to be racist bigots. You can't legislate people into being nice nor into being smart. You shouldn't do the first for moral reasons and if the second were possible I wouldn't be having this ridiculous conversation with so many people.

Hell yes. I would hope that people would come together to stand up to bullies. I'm 100% gay rights, but if your message is liberal tolerance and your definition of tolerance is to try to force those who don't agree with you out of business and ruin their lives over a cake or pizza you can get literally anywhere else, then yes, that's exactly what I want America to be. And if you disagree you're an asshat of the biggest magnitude and I hope you die before you reproduce or reach the age to vote.

In America it's actually a constitutionally protected right.. and most philosophers consider it a basic human right.. read about "freedom of association." It is the freedom from the state being able to force you to join groups or spend time with people you disagree with. It's actually a very serious principle and to deny it is a basic violation of human rights. Just because you don't agree with how someone uses that right doesn't mean you can take it away. If you do that what's to stop others from taking away YOUR rights when a different group is in power.
in summary, while your well intentioned ignorance amuses me, it also frightens me because most of the voting world feels the way you do, that rights can be taken when the "end justifies the means." That never ends well.

Guns and Healthcare have nothing to do with each other... also, no one buys you your guns. You don't force other people to pay for guns. So making this an ACTUAL comparison, if guns are a right, but you don't force others to pay for them, then the ability to obtain Healthcare is also a right, as long as you don't force someone else to pay for it...

I work in medicine... lung cancer isn't curable and treatment only adds 6 months at most to lifespan. I wouldn't take the treatment either if I got it..

Those shots were meant to kill. The reason one aims for center mass is that with adrenaline pumping most of your shots will miss by a very wide margin. It takes a lot of training to overcome this... more than most officers get. He was trying to shoot him in the chest and missed because of the fear.
Never try to shoot someone in the knee. It's stupid. If you don't need to kill someone you don't shoot them. A knee shot will sever the popliteal artery and he will bleed to death anyway... IF you even hit the knee, which again, is a stupid target. Most shots will miss the chest at a range of 5 ft. What makes you think you're hitting a knee??! Are you James bond?? Get out of here with that movie garbage...

No one is saying it don't happen kibbles. But don't be so stupid. You surely must realize that listing the number of police shootings as a number without qualifying how many were brutality and not shootings of violent criminals does nothinG at all to help your case right? For example, the cop who shot the man in SC recently ought to get the death penalty for murder. That was police brutality. but if 300 out of the 388 were justified it hardly signals an epidemic like people want to paint it. It simply means that when you give a few high school drop outs a badge and a gun a few of them will abuse it. Punish them and take it on a case by case basis.

Guest is the only one here with a brain. He didn't even stress the fact that most of those deaths were justified. You don't stop violent criminals with kind words. You stop them with equal or superior force. The best form of that force is usually a bullet.

He died doing what he preached. I respect him for it in a way. It's his life, as long as he doesn't hurt someone else or expect the rest of us to fix his mistakes, he should be able to do what he wants with that life. Even if what he wants is to be the biggest moron on the planet to be used as a poster child for the "don't be this guy, wear a helmet campaign."

Actually taking the cheap, easy way out is how you got ther in the first place. If it was cheap you'd eat the same amount of diet food as you did fatty food and where would you be then? Life's tough and I'm not gonna sugar coat it or you would eat that too.

You guys don't get it though. This is 12 years of torture. Even if you KNEW there was some sense of consciousness left, would you do this to your worst enemy? Tie him to a bed never letting him get up? The skin on your back eventually rots, and gets covered with fungus, you end up with countless infections over this time and blood clots in your legs and lungs. It's painful. Youre basically paying to TORTURE someone you love. And this is to gamble on a one in a MILLION chance they MIGHT wake up, but there's a 99.9% chance you're just keeping them alive to make them suffer. Honestly that makes you a monster. I know because I'm a doctor. I take care of these patients all the time and it breaks my heart to watch this year after year.

Exactly, to waste away while your family watches, to pee and poop on yourself for 12 years and suffer putrid ulcers and wounds, this isn't something I would wish on an enemy.
