1. thats obviously a joke, why are you trying to attack the joke as an admission of malicious opposition?
2. One of the common stances when it comes to sex and gender is that gender is entirely made up, that its a cultural/societal idea so even if it WAS a serious statement that would still fall in line with an exaggerated form of a common identity politics stance.

Non-fungable tokens
basically a tag on something that cannot be replicated digitally to make a digital good that is as "unique" as a digital good can be, someone can duplicate the file but they can't duplicate the NFT attached to it, making anything without the NFT a "fake.'
It's basically just another fad thing for rich people to throw money at and treat like they treat art irl, as a place to deal with money as a loophole as a good.

In regards to the "gonna ruin the environment" thing,
basically, NFTs are primarily traded using ethereum, a crypto currency on a proof of work system that uses a large amount of electricity to produce any usable amount of the currency. There are quite a few issues with the idea that its bad to spend the electricity to make proof of work crypto but thats neither here nor there as people selling NFTs isn't really going to affect the amount of it thats made in a meaningful way regardless along with the fact some NFT sale sites allow trade in USD anyways.

Technically speaking Taiwan isnt a country, the republic of china is a country, taiwan is the island that makes up their territory, they claim to be the rightful government of all of china, hence the true name of the country.
The mainland communist party runs the "People's republic of china" which is the most ironic way to differentiate your oligarchy from the actual free state that you dispute ownership of your territory with.

yes but people tend to treat the brotherhood like they treat the mechanicus, see the cool tech and the motivation behind the misguided ideology they have and don't think about it too far or look to far into what actually makes up the ideology.

The purpose of the stimulus has very little to do with helping the poor, that’s just a side effect, the economic purpose of a stimulus is to put money back into the economy and keep businesses having customers, the idea is that the money will by and large be spent fairly instantly by the people getting it, pumping an influx of business into the local economies around the US, potentially keeping businesses afloat and keeping the country’s overall economy healthy. It’s something that’s been used multiple times successfully in not just the US but in many western countries, it’s a tried and tested tactic to protect the economy during a situation like this.

At the point where the thief was no longer actively a threat, the poster admits the father struck when the thief was distracted, the father has a duty to retreat in most states. Based solely on what is said here he had ample opportunity to retreat, the law requires there be both a subjective and an objective threat of bodily harm for self defense, it also assumes a thief who is in the process of collecting a wallet that is no longer focused on the victim isn’t an objective threat, you can retreat without risking your life.

None of what you said actually address anything i said, you started what you said by deflecting the entire thing as "i didnt buy any of it."
-
"If you share your password with someone outside your household, you are giving something away without the permission of the owner, which is a kind of theft. "
\
nothing is being lost, nothing is being "given away." If you had actually read what i said i ALREADY addressed this.
"Those pirates arent costing a company basically anything, no one is losing money off of them because if they werent getting the product through piracy no one would be making money off them anyways. " -me, 8 hours ago
There is nothing being lost here. No one is losing potential profits because there is no potential profit to be made, taking away their access to the pirated version with that kind of pirate will not cause them to purchase the product they are pirating, there is nothing being lost, for something to be theft, something has to be lost.

when it comes to piracy, which this basically is, "Stealing" isnt always stealing.
These estimations are made in bad faith, they assume that all the people who are using another persons account would be paying customers otherwise, which generally speaking isnt true. There is a binary with pirates of a specific digital good, pirates that would purchase the good if they did not have the option to get it for free and pirates that would not purchase the good if they did not have the option to get it for free, studies have been done in the past that show that the vast majority of digital good piracy is the latter variety. Those pirates arent costing a company basically anything, no one is losing money off of them because if they werent getting the product through piracy no one would be making money off them anyways.
The projected loses are estimated assuming those dont exist so they can make the number look good for propoganda like that, its a business move, a marketting move, thats it.

1. like iccarus pointed out in much less direct words, you're still going to have to buy a whole new phone if you want, you know, a hunk of tech that works as a phone.
-
2. The portion of the phone destroyed by the bullet wasnt important, meaning that section of the phone wasnt being used to make the phone run meaning the bullet likely hit just the network card and bits related to the camera, as hitting basically any other part of the phone would make it not able to run anymore. That means the phone is ineffeciently built such that this big a section of a fairly large phone holds only a secondary parts, making cooling a lot less effective as all the hot parts are clumped.
-
3. you could probably do this to an iphone too if you knew where to shoot it to get the same effect. Samsung and apple both make awful tech built in the most anti-consumer way possible while still sticking to their aesthetic, neither are good, both are equally awful companies with equally awful phones.

One of the issues with this is that all those stories you read a couple times a year where someone gets un-punished for sexual assault or rape or whatever because the person who accused them admitted they lied would never happen again, not nessesarily because people would stop lying either. There would still be false accusations and, because of the new punishment for lying about it, people would no longer be willing to admit they lied for fear of being punished.
