My horse does this, and if I stop, he will follow me around the paddock and park himself in front of me, asking me to do it again.

Guess that qualifies for the "interesting circumstances" I mentioned. Sorry for that guy in so much pain they felt that was their only option.

Advice to men: women like to vent, they don't need to be rescued or have things fixed, they want to be heard. One vent per issue is allowed. After that it is whining

Sadly, this is all too true. There is also still a strong belief that sex with a virgin girl will cure AIDS.

Jim is not the author of this quote. I heard it years ago, but can't remember the origin.

This is why I drink coffee in a close-able travel mug at all times when near a computer. I have a long and honourable history of this sort of thing.

I fell and broke my ankle 3 weeks ago. Daughter called ambulance. 40 min drive to nearest hospital (I live on a farm well outside town). Overnight stay in hospital. Pain killers, plaster, x-rays. Cost = $0.00. Why? Coz I live in Australia where we have free public health!

In this case, the world paid. USSR redacted an entire report from the 1970's outlining the risk of a particular series of events should they ever happen. It gave the impression that USSR nuclear energy was not the best in the world, so the report was removed. Those events did happen and led to Chernobyl disaster, because the Soviet government preferred to lie, or at least prevent the truth from coming out.
