According to many reports, Coca-Cola had been available in France since 1919. The photos show the start of a brand new big marketing campaign in France in 1950. Coca-Cola drove around France handing out free bottles and LIFE magazine photographer Mark was there to photograph the reactions. some of the pictures show French people trying the drink for the first time

My dad is a nurse (not in ICU mind you) and he says that during covid times it's been fluctuating, some times busier than normal, sometimes quieter. Not sure about the rest of the world, but I did look this up and our hospitals have never been overwhelmed since 2020 started. We literally built new covid hospitals, "Nightingale hospitals", and most were quiet and have since been shut down
Here's a link if you're interested: https://principia-scientific.com/revealed-what-really-happened-in-the-nightingale-hospitals/
And here's the Wikipedia link for one of the hospitals: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/NHS_Nightingale_Hospital_London

We might be talking at cross purposes
I was talking in respect to the population at large. You seem to be talking about the infection rate fatality
Regarding the IFR, the definition of a covid death is someone who died within 28 days of a positive covid test: this is on the UK gov website
So yeah, if someone tests positive then dies in a car crash, they're counted as a covid death
