Yup
People think "I'd hide Anne Frank! I wouldn't turn her in to the Nazis."
That's bullshit. Most people didn't hide Jews, and plenty of them actively and eagerly reported people to the authorities
1 in 3 people in East Germany were government informers. The tyranny wasn't "brutal government and innocent population"

It's the definition of virtue. Giving of oneself - in this case to the detriment of her social approval and career success - in the service of one's morals

Someone hurting your feelings by calling you obese and encouraging you to improve your health might hurt less than your family standing by your grave when you're dead at 40

Apart from France, most countries don't respond well to violent invasion and will begin the long, hard slog to expel the invaders

Lol. Reminds me of the time an Australian senator/MP(?) was accused of mansplaining by a female senator/MP and he rolled with it and asked her several times to explain what mansplaining was as if he didn't know

I remember reading about monkeys being observed after given stereotypical children's toys.
The juvenile male monkeys chose to play more often with the boys toys, and the females chose more often to play with girls toys, although the difference was less pronounced in the females
Seems preferences are heavily affected by biology

I came across some wise words from someone who was asked "Is it okay to be a man?"
He replied "It's not okay; It's necessary.
You look around cities and see all these buildings go up. These men, they're doing impossible things. They're working on the sewers; they're up on the power lines in the storms and the rain. They work themselves to death, often literally
The gratitude for that is sorely lacking, especially among those who should be the most grateful."
