Smart comic, neatly and concisely demonstrating the naturalistic fallacy
According to one website, "The Naturalistic Fallacy states that because something is 'natural' it is therefore valid, justified, inevitable, good or ideal. This fallacy occurs when the conclusion expresses what ought to be based only on its naturalness."

Essentially a restricted form of movement. The idea is to have a city where every (or nearly every) amenity is no more than a 15 minute walk away regardless of where in the city you live
Like everything, it sounds good in principle (reduced pollution, lower traffic, etc.) but in reality they rely on fines, more surveillance, and other forms of coercion - and in some cases actually increase pollution
One example is an area of Greater London (I forget the precise location) where there is a camera that monitors a certain road to which one must possess a permit to drive upon; if one does not possess said permit you will receive a £65 fine. The only alternate route is a detour of 2 miles, which actually results in increased emissions, longer travel times, and worse traffic. A lose-lose, you might say

Meanwhile in Germany 2 comments

There's an old joke about asking a German if he speaks English. He will give one of two responses:
"A little", which means he can have a conversation with you; and "Yes", which means he will be correcting your grammar

"Periodically, liberals rediscover healthy sexual and relationship practices and act like they found the holy grail"

The strange thing is that even if you count Chernobyl, nuclear power causes less death and environmental destruction than coal and solar

The relative rate of people being underweight is actually decreasing while the rate of people who are overweight/obese is increasing
From 2016 (and it's worth noting that everyone has become richer since then):

The first point is questionable. There does seem to be a relationship between electrical signals on the brain and consciousness, but it's not as solid as many people generally think. What's more, it would appear to involve your entire nervous system, not just your brain. We don't really understand consciousness at all
I agree though, electricity is hella magical

It's always seemed to me narrow-minded to imagine that people can only identify with a character of their own skin colour
The hooman mind anthropomorphises to a remarkable degree, which is why a huge metal truck-robot can be a figure for emulation. Same with talking vegetables, a starfish, and a sea sponge

The irony is that only an incredibly advanced species after billions of years of evolution would develop the science and technology to utilise dead dinosaurs for easy, convenient, and relatively cheap movement

Correct. According to The Telegraph:
"In the 1750s, King Tegbesu of Dahomey, in present-day Benin, was reported to be making £250,000 a year from selling slaves. That astronomical sum, equivalent to perhaps £45 million today, was vastly more than any British aristocrat."
