I've had 5 cats die while I've had them. Two of them died suddenly while at the vet, one of them died of a likely blood clot at home in his sleep, and two we had to put to sleep.
I still feel terrible about the two that died suddenly at the vet. We had left them at the emergency clinic overnight to have procedures done in the morning, and they died overnight (separate events). If I had any idea they wouldn't make it, I would've stayed.
One cat we put to sleep was very old and just about blind and pretty hard of hearing.
The one that really gets to me though is the middle age one that had been having health problems and started going downhill fast. I will always remember the look on his face when I left work and met my wife at the vet with him.
He looked... Scared...
It was one of the harder things Ive had to do to look him in the eyes as he closed them for the last time, but I know it meant so much to him...

Agreed on all points. I wasn't trying to defend obvious troll guest, just stating that "beautiful" is definitely not the word I would use to describe it.
I think the mom referenced in the post made a completely reasonable decision letting medical students observe, and the authors perspective gave me a chuckle

Have you actually seen childbirth? It's gross as shit. Literally... There's shit...
Sure, new life and all that happy stuff is beautiful, but let's not kid ourselves (pun!), childbirth is suuuuuper gross

Yeah, that's phenomenally cheap in that case. For my first kid, there were some concerns that never materialized, but they had 2 NICU nurses waiting in the room just in case, and that cost almost 500.
I don't think that was unreasonable either. These people have lots of training and we're all scrubbed up and had their cart and equipment ready to go. All told they were there for about an hour, so I'm not complaining

I actually liked the casino part. Well, sort of. I think it was intentional how "prequel-ey" it was. Here's this planet/city that is largely removed from this conflict thats been going on for the past 50 years, and has just profited from it. It makes sense to me then that it would be all garish and shiny, just like everywhere was before the clone wars.
I agree that it would be cool to see Luke being all badass, but I don't think that's really his character. The most badass thing Luke ever did wasn't fighting Vader, it was throwing his lightsaber away in front of the emperor.
With all that said though, I have no problem with people who can rationally argue that they didn't like TLJ, but I can't stand the "I don't want women in muh star wars"

Hey, remember episode 4? That sure was a great movie... What if we made it again, but louder?
Now don't get wrong, I enjoy every single star wars movie (including the prequels, and Solo....) But in my opinion, TFA is one of the worst ones, and TLJ is one of the best.

Thank you....
So many of the complaints people have about TFA/TLJ characters is just because there hasn't been decades of expanded content to give them backstories...
