Fair enough... The gun companies may be benefiting, but they're not outright advertising.

Well it's a counter to the point that anti-gun groups make money off of shootings.
While that may be true, I know plenty of people who go out and buy a new gun every time something happens. To the gun industry makes loads of money as well.
It's a consequence of shootings because you can see spikes in sales that are directly correlated.

How many ultra conservative types go out and by a new gun every time one of these things happen?
People get shot, other people bring up the concept of "gun control", and as a "precautionary measure", they go out and buy a new gun for when the Democrats come to take away all of their existing guns...

A nice ass, by definition, is nice.
Big tits are not necessarily nice.
I'd much rather have (look at?) nice tits than big ones.

Yeah I see plenty of people ride around with shorts, a t-shirt, and a skull cap helmet...
That won't do anything in a crash...

Sure, that's where the money comes from, but the argument is that the money doesn't just dissapear.
It gets paid to engineers, scientists, and manufacturers, who then buy houses, cars, food, and in general "have a career" thanks to that money.
We could debate the pros/cons of government employees, but the commenter's reasoning is sound.
Look at the support economy in places like Huntsville AL. NASA doesn't pay chic fil a, but I'm sure they're doing well thanks to all the NASA employees that want lunch

In almost all cases, you need to use the same number of cells. Pretty much anything with a circuit (TV remote, old game boy, etc) needs a certain voltage. A flashlight or something would work with a lower voltage, but it would be dimmer.
All alkaline cells have 1.5v nominal, so AA and AAA are somewhat interchangeable for low load applications. The difference is the bigger cells have a higher capacity and can handle a higher discharge rate.
All hail the guardians of the discarded. 14 comments

When I was in the military, I had a civilian mentor who told me a great piece of advice. When his kids would make a big deal that his work as part of the DoD was so important, he would always say "maybe, but if I skip work for a day, nobody even notices. If the garbage man skips work for a day..."

The only potential counterpoint is that theory/Easter egg about how Triton's daughters represent the 7 seas, and Ariel is the red Sea, hence the red hair.
Although that's such a minor thing, and completely irrelevant to the story...

I still remember the time a cashier at Walmart told me that she liked the color of my shirt and it brought out the color of my eyes.
It was small, but made my week...

The argument I always heard was "anyone can edit Wikipedia"
But... Did you know that anyone can write a book? You can write complete nonsense and get it published, and then bam, your random musings are now more credible than Wikipedia.
I once even had a professor mark me down because I used an image from Wikipedia...
