Nah! A half-dozen goat skins, two rabbit pelts and about 7, no, 8 falcon tail feathers and that inspector is suddenly going to "find" those backdated and now absolutely legit permits. Corruption's been around forever.

I know the grooming is essential and the pup certainly looks great, but I prefer the scruffy looking version. Wish I could freeze my dog's hair length to just before it absolutely demands attention.

???? Lithops, Succulents that resemble colorful rocks ???? 7 comments
carbontech · 4 years ago
Found mostly in Namibia and South Africa, they are members of the ice plant family. They avoid being eaten by blending in with surrounding rocks and are often known as pebble plants or living stones. Because their camouflage is so effective, new species continue to be discovered, sometimes in remote regions of Namibia and South Africa, and sometimes in well-populated areas where they simply had been overlooked for generations. So far, nearly a thousand individual populations are documented, each covering just a small area of dry grassland, veld, or bare rocky ground. Lithops are popular house plants and many specialist succulent growers maintain collections. Seeds and plants are widely available in shops and over the Internet. They are relatively easy to grow if given sufficient sun and a suitable well-drained soil.

Norway. "In a new study, researchers found that painting a single blade black on a white wind turbine reduces bird deaths by around 70%. The step makes blades more visible as they spin, even though they sometimes reach speeds of more than 150 miles an hour." https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/ece3.6592

On top of that, even if the underpaid teacher was a robot or a gender indeterminate visitor from outer space, "it's" should have been "its".

I was never a wrestling fan, but shoutout to Randy "Macho Man" Savage, playing Bone Saw, one of several wrestlers who expanded their fanbase past their theatrical origins. He is missed. Oooh yeah!

Bookending the Arnold Palmer painting, are on the left, an image of Shirley Temple. A Shirley Temple is a non-alcoholic mixed drink traditionally made with ginger ale and a splash of grenadine, while on the right, the Scotsman in the painting, is no doubt, Robert Roy MacGregor, a Scottish outlaw, who later became a folk hero. A Rob Roy is a version of a Manhattan made with vermouth and Scotch whisky.

Those controls are probably like our phones and tablets, using capacitive screens that rely on measuring electrical resistance in skin. So unless Star Fleet has started incorporating assless chaps into their dress code, Riker should be OK.

Nice try, but I'm not buying it. That's exactly what a drug den would say to throw off the cops.
