Listening to her descriptions of some of the scenes made the movie sound even worse which I didn't think was possible. Like she said, I worry for the girls in the movie. They are going to simultaneously get so much attention from pervs while also getting criticized/slammed for doing that movie. But most of all I worry that they are still being raised by parents that let them do it.

Humans are predictable 3 comments

In the beginning months of all this craziness, someone I know mentioned that there will probably be a COVID-19 baby boom. I said "Who would try to get pregnant during a pandemic and an economic crisis?" only to find out later that she was in fact pregnant. *Awkward*

I get that, but if you think about the ingredients, it cost more than $4.99 - especially if it is fruit.

That is so cheap for one homemade pie, let alone 2. There was a little pie company in the last town I lived and pies were like $18.

I loved it in high school/college. However, I've had it a few times recently and did not think it was great. I can't decide if the quality of the food has gone down or my standards have gone up.

The legacy of a poor finish 10 comments

I can finally chip in on Harry Potter since I JUST finished reading the books and the movies (I know, I'm a bit behind). I love the books, but I thought the movies sucked and I don't know why anyone would watch them again. Also, LOTR is almost 20 years old already?! I remembering staying home from elementary school because I was sick and watching the first two, then staying home a second day just so I could watch the third one.

Or just come to terms with the fact that people have different tastebuds and they don't necessarily get to chose what tastes good/bad. Also, I like almost everything, and I still think olives are completely disgusting, so maybe don't complain about people not eating such a gross food.

What kind of a burrito would even have olives on it?

The title loaded a minute before the gif, and for some reason when I read "bullfighting" I thought of pitbulls and then the gif took me by surprise lol

Agreed. As adults, we are especially responsible for teaching ourselves. But I do think it is a lot easier to learn if you are taught them growing up.

On a side note, in this circumstance, I would say it would be the older generations fault for not teaching skills, and the people who never had the opportunity to learn them shouldn't be blamed.

Not really. Blacksmithing may be somewhat useful today, but not totally applicable. However, being able to build/fix/repair things around the house and having basic DIY skills can still be incredibly helpful and save people a TON of money.

It kind of reminds me of the wave pools that water parks have. But much more terrifying.

@jokur_and_batmon I think that must depend on where in the US that you live and the circumstances. 99% of the time I see people pull over like they are supposed to. There is always that one time where someone is stupid or a jerk, but I guarantee you that isn't just in the US. Also, there can be extenuating circumstances. Once I was on a small (practically alley) one way/one lane street in a major city in bumper to bumper traffic. An ambulance was trying to come down the street, but there was literally no place to go (forward, backward, or to the sides).

Also, to a large extent, if you don't like what others are saying, you can ignore them. No one has to have heated discussions with users they think are being mean or disrespectful. So many people choose to engage with people behaving inappropriately and then wonder why they continue to do it.

@Famousone aside, I hate that people are always complaining about downvotes. People are under no obligation to give upvotes or refrain from downvotes. It is just a way for others to show that they agree or disagree. If someone doesn't like what you have to stay, they can downvote. It really doesn't matter. You can still say what you want to say.
Trainer response when a cadet fails to properly throw their live grenade (safe for work) 3 comments

Clearly the one instructor is better though. He found cover and pulled the cadet with him. The other guy didn't find cover and didn't even get all the way down.
