I was very sad when I read about the comic in question. I never read the webcomic, so I don't know the context, but I don't find anything funny about losing a baby, even if it wasn't conveyed in the best way (and especially is based off of the author's actual experience). However, I wasn't trying to comment on the actual comment, just explain what this post was about.

So apparently @jasonmon is messing with us and giving us hints without us even knowing. As far as I can figure out, this is some kind of "Loss meme" - meaning that there once was a comic that people started making fun of which then became represented as "l ll ll l_" for some reason and then even more abstractly like in this post. So essentially this meme references the symbols "l ll ll l_" which references the original comic. I think. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/loss

As someone who has read dozens of Patterson's books, this made me laugh.

I feel like Freud's name is most famous/well known, but Skinner discovered so much about behavior and a lot of his theories and findings are used today. The entire field of behavioral analysis is a direct result of him.

I'd say "put the food away." I've never heard "put the food up" - what region is that from?

Sorry to interrupt your publicly private conversation, but can you share the recipes here so I can see them too?

Well that looks like a peppermint patty (candy) and nothing like a thicker version of the Girl Scout Thin Mints (cookies) anyway.

That looks like a HoneyFlow Hive. Very interesting design, and quite expensive.

This made me think of 3 parts of Hamilton the musical:
.
From the song Right Hand Man:
"We are outgunned (what?)
Outmanned (what?)
Outnumbered
Outplanned"
.
From the song Stay Alive:
"Congress writes, George, attack the British forces
I shoot back, we have resorted to eating our horses
...
Alex, listen, there's only one way for us to win this
Provoke outrage
Outright
That's right
Don't engage, strike by night
Remain relentless 'til their troops take flight
Make it impossible to justify the cost of the fight
Outrun
Outrun
Outlast
Outlast
Hit 'em quick, get out fast"
.
From the song Yorktown (the world turned upside down):
"Take the bullets out your gun! (What?)
The bullets out your gun! (What?)
We move undercover and we move as one
Through the night, we have one shot to live
Another day
We cannot let a stray gunshot give us away"

Maybe I have this backwards, but wasn't the negotiation that they'd move it from NY down to VA area?

Ok, so I looked him up on Wikipedia because I was curious what the backstory was here and it's slightly disturbing: "Macron is married to Brigitte Trogneux, who is 24 years older than him, who was a teacher in his high school, La Providence High School in Amiens. They met during a theatre workshop that she was giving when he was a 15-year-old student and she was a 39-year-old teacher, but they only became a couple once he was 18. His parents initially attempted to separate the couple by sending him away to Paris to finish the final year of his schooling, as they felt his youth made this relationship inappropriate. However, the couple reunited after Macron graduated, and were married in 2007."

You forgot to mention the downvote buttons being blue instead of red. And yes, the content sucks now and the site is definitely dying.

While this is cool, it seems like the owner doesn't fully understand what she is doing. Check out Bunny the Dog who is trained to do the same thing, but by a speech therapist. Bunny has quite a large vocabulary!

Lot's of people probably know the song "Anything you can do, I can do better!" but don't realize it's Annie Oakley singing it (in the musical).

We don't have a physical body for all historical figures. And the Bible isn't 1 "story." It's a collection of documents from different people. And there are documents outside of the Bible and Christianity (e.g. Jewish and Roman documents) that also document Jesus' existence. The debate isn't if he was real, it was if he was who he claimed to be.

1. The movie is called Amazing Grace, and it is a great movie about how some very creative people worked to legally end slavery (in Britain).
.
2. Is that Benedict Cumberbatch? I didn't realize he was in this movie. I must have seen it before he was super famous (or, more likely, before I realized he was super famous).
