For an example, mine is the sound that occurs when you drag a fork across your teeth.

Chalkboard sound makes my teeth hurt

Nails or a metal fork on paper.

^ if a pencil does the thing on paper my teeth hurt

Babies crying. I'm thinking I might adopt a toddler for fear of going nuts from baby cries

That high pitched screech parakeets make and lip smacking make me recoil

A fork or a knife "cutting" into the plate directly, that sounds is awful.
The sound when I open the drawers of my freezer
The sound of polyester being rubbed with another piece of it lol

I should also add people smacking their lips when they eat

Rubber bands snapping, and chalk scraping against blackboards

Metal on metal. I can deal with blackboards

Any error sound.
Music that goes off rhythm.

thinking about scratching my fingernails down a blackboard made shivers of horror go down my spine

Does anyone actually know WHY certain pitches make us cringe? Is it a survival thing?
