Too deeply. Hard cider is a term for apple cider that has fermented and become alcoholic. Hard lemonade is merely a variation on that. Lemons don’t have enough sugar to ferment effectively so they probably just add grain alcohol.

it's "Mike's Hard Lemonade"... not "Mike's Hard". You do sound like a fun person to smoke with tho XD

But isn't Mike's a contraction for Mike is? I thought the possesive would be Mikes.

No, that only works for it’s/its. Mikes just means more than one Mike, Mike’s can mean belonging to Mike or Mike is

Depends. American English has no hard rules against contracting a name to say “Bill’s a great guy!” It’s style. Not terribly formal English, but not expressly forbidden. But context is key. Without arguing for or against the Oxford comma, “Mike’s Hard Lemonade” if read as a contraction would be: “Mike is hard lemonade.” Unlikely. As others have said “Hard” in alchohol such as hard cider or lemonade just designates alchohol comes and non alchohol versions of a beverage. This is likely a case of “that’s what s/he said,” where the peeps who invented project planning likely didn’t think of the other meaning of the phrase “Connect our backends with a chain.” That said- maybe at least someone at that meeting knew of the double meaning and laughed about it, or it was in fact anin joke.” Wether it is intended or not, I’ve never heard anyone else make that observation. I might not try to quote it as fact without more research, but it’s a loose pun and still a humorous observation....

It’s the sort of humor many memes are built on. I can’t say wether you’re a genius or not- I can say it isn’t dumb, you aren’t dumb, you made an observation that hasn’t been widely made, on your own. While it’s technically “low brow” humor- there’s nothing wrong with a good fart or sex joke, and it’s novel word play. I would say it is clever or witty and give the joke (properly set up and executed of course,) solid points. No joke makes everyone laugh. No wit pleases all. You had a pretty original thought so I’d be happy with that, and think of how to polish it to it’s best shins. Kudos, and thanks for the chuckle.
