To anyone who has taken college english: They assigned seven books, and I'm wondering if I’m supposed to bring them all to class on the first day of college? Or do I leave them at the dorm/wait to see if I get an email about a specific book to bring?

don't bring a single one... you'll sit near someone who has what is needed. The only three books you'll ever need are Introduction to Physics, Introduction to Chemistry and Introduction to Calculus. Everything else is either online or a neighbor away.

Senior. I've only needed my books for my first day of classes in one class. I've never much needed them the whole first week honestly. Mileage may vary, but that's fairly common for everyone I know at my University.

I only brought my actual textbook. The rest is for reading assignments and unnecessary in class. Dang tho I only had four books, and I thought my teacher was crazy. Seven sounds killer. My condolences for your sanity!
