“Pulvis et umbra sumus. It's a line from Horace. 'We are dust and shadows'. Appropriate, don't you think?" Will said. "It's not a long life, killing demons; one tends to die young, and then they burn your body - dust to dust, in the literal sense. And then we vanish into the shadows of history, nary a mark on the page of a mundane book to remind the world that once we existed at all.”
--Cassandra Clare's Infernal Devices book series.
We all have our opinions of how life goes, what's worth how much. I'd like to know the opinions of my fellow FunSubstancers.. What do you think of life? Is "Pulvis et umbra sumus" your life motto? If not, what is?

"Pulvis et umbra sum us" isn't really my life motto. Mine is in fact by Rose Tyler: "You don't just give up. You don't just let things happen. You make a stand! You say no! You have the guts to do what's right, even when everyone else just runs away." It's not really a "motto" but I just believe in this, if that even makes sense lol. This doesn't answer some of your questions, I'm sorry.

"Greater love has no man than this, that he lady down his life for his friend."
I don't live it out very well but I want to love like that. That's life to me. Loving well and allowing myself to be loved.
