Yeah, sorry for the late reply I was asleep. So to those who don't know what happened a user got banned from the roll20 reddit for having a similar username to another person who got banned. It happens and so the person tried to contact roll20 to fix this situation so there wasn't a risk of a full reddit ban. While waiting they looked up why the pervious user was banned thinking it'd be for toxic behavior. Nope it was because they criticized roll20. After 36 hours the first person sent an email saying that if they don't actually look into this they go from an active roll20 prime sub to an active detractor on social media for the experience they had. Roll20 then contacted them saying they found that they weren't the same person as the other person who was banned but that they would hold up the ban for threatening them with becoming an active detractor. This pissed them off so they went onto social media and it blew up in roll20's face for the clear conflict of interest in them running

their own reddit page. This was made even worse by the "apology" the co founder sent on a reddit thread.
bethorien · 5 years ago
The apology was basically "Im so so sorry.... *mumbles* that we got called out"

Man, Roll20 just had to pick the one guy with his head firmly wedged up his anal cavity to write what he thought passed for an "apology".
bethorien · 5 years ago
It was one of the founders that wrote it
tarotnathers13th · 5 years ago
Yup. Made it even worse.
