But the gist is that someone wrote on yodel that they're going to shoot up my school, it was a big thing on the news and everything. It's closing in on the time it's supposed to happen, and there's a bunch of cops around the school trying to figure out who it is. So half the school is empty bc people didn't want to come, I'm sitting in the hallway with my friends, and everyone is highkey worried about getting gunned. So. Great day so far.

When I was in high school we had occasional bomb threats. We all went to the bleachers at the football field while the police dogs checked the buildings and vehicles in the lot. First time freshman year we were all terrified, the second time we were angry because it was snowing and when the alarms went off we had no time to stop for coats and hats. We were not allowed to have backpacks or duffels. The shitty thing is these morons make these threats to sound tough or get out of a test and you eventually end up with a “boy that cried wolf” scenario.

I remember in school they had the same situation (twice). For the first time, the school decided to close down because it said a specific day (2/5), while the second time happened before an assembly, and the rumor was it was a person wanting to get out of an AP test

back in high school every time we had a bomb drill we talked about the fact that it would be really stupid to clump everyone up in a standardized place the most likely person to wanna kill people there (a student) would know would be the best target. We once had an indirect threat in that someone said they were gonna blow up the gas distribution thing up the road from the school and they whole school just kinda froze because there wasn't really anything to do about it because we weren't the threat target but no one could really get back into the whole doing school stuff thing.

According to rumors it was some dude I know... He apparently gave himself up at the gates. I don't really trust those, though, because it ranges from him having a full on bomb taped to his chest to him just calmly walking up to the officers guarding the school. Jesus.
