Look at these raging alcoholics. Smh.

Pineapple upside down cake- yes it’s a drink too. It’s amazing.
Cranberry and Malibu and sprite is good.
I used to drink a cranberry vodka before I got confidence to order something semi-complicated but vodka tastes like hairspray and I don’t like it. Malibu rum is fruity and perfect with orange soda or sprite!
Happy early birthday! (Remember to pace yourself and that for one alcoholic drink you should drink a glass of water too!) have fun!

Yo this reminds me of that little fat kid from the vine where he's like "we're gonna try vodka. Down the hatch" and then he scrunches up his face and spits it out

22 and was allowed to drink from 16 and up and never touched a drink. Tbh it's more the smell of the alcohol that's putting me off (and the price)

Y'all go home. Been drinking almost daily since I am 14 years old. Now a professional bartender. If this really is your first drink do not go for a long Island Iced Tea or anything else where you can't taste the alcohol, it will fuck you up big time. If you are a guy go for a beer or whiskey (or whiskey sour if you can't handle it need yet). If you're a girl I'd recommend a campari and orange juice or aperol spritz/sour. Both taste slightly bitter. And also, DON'T FUCKIN DRINK AND DRIVE

I like tequila (preferably chocolate or vanilla) but a nice cider is always good.

The Moscow Mule is a classic cocktail. It's got vodka, lime, and ginger beer served in a cool looking copper cup. Lots of places will sub out the regular vodka for something fruity.
,
Drinks with Campari, Aperol, or Fernet will have a bitter, medicinal taste. Some people go wild for that stuff but I've never cared for it.
,
If this is your first go round, I cannot overstate how bad shots or long Island iced teas would be. Listen to devil.
,
Also, listen to mae and drink absurd amounts of water. If you had more than three cocktails then chug two more waters before going to sleep. Getting up to pee is annoying, but hangovers are way worse.
,
It sounds like you are planning to be responsible, so that's good. I hope you have a ton of fun on your birthday! :)

I can’t really recommend a good drink for you because I tend to simple and traditional drinks or straight liquor. I can say there are lots of craft brew ginger beers that appeal to the “its not a wine cooler- it’s real alchohol” crowd and the more sophisticated palate. But I do just want to second @Jasonmon’s good advice. Drink lots of water and right before bed drink at least a glass or two. It will help you the next morning. Eat first but give yourself time to digest and avoid anything that won’t play nice with booze, then have a starch and protein snack after if you drink much. Please make sure you have a designated driver or ride set up, are with trusted friends in a safe place, and NEVER leave your drink out of sight for even a second. If you EVER lose sight of your drink, toss it out and get another. Doesn’t apply as much at a TGIF table dinner with friends but still. Be safe and have fun.

I tried a light fruity wine my first time.

Oh shit, always remember to breathe in before you drink, then breathe out after you swallow so you don't get vapor locked. Oh, and this is my time tested "no puke" method: As long as you keep burping and peeing whenever you have to, you ought to be fine. Your mileage may vary.
