I'm just guessing here but .. money?

I'm guessing the Gods added a new ad algorithm to pay for the server upkeep.
Servers aren't cheap, and they has surprisingly little ads before.

I get it, but the one on mobile that sticks to the top of the page is just obnoxious. Even when you close it on every single page, it just stays there... lurking.

The issue is not "ads", they gotta make cash but "annoying ads" is an issue especially for mobile users

I'm getting ads pop up from the top and now the bottom of the screen. It's really annoying.
