I've been at my new job a little over a month and I'm starting to dislike the people who work in my department
They're lazy and call me a "over achiever" just because I have good work ethic. Time to find another job guys

Best of luck to you!

Or, you keep working there, until you get promoted because you are the best in the department, and become their manager. Then, you bring up the standards for them, so that they do their jobs.

Before you quit, I would suggest finding something else. I know many people who quit their job because they hated it and then struggled to find another job. I hope things work out for you.

I talked to the girl that gave me trouble today and I informed management.
Turns out management was watching one because hes on his phone all the time and they dint like the girls attitude.
They said I'm a hard worker, but I'm too hard on myself

You should fight them to establish a hierarchy

Tbh working with people with a constant poor work ethic is one of the most draining things in the world. If management is willing to acknowledge your efforts at least then there's hope, but if not then I agree with jay-- quit, but find something else first

@flyingoctopus management leaves me in charge all the time because I've been with them for 4 years and the others have only been here almost 2 months

So an update: the lazy one, Coty, is going to get his ass fired
jay2327 · 5 years ago
Yay!

Well that's good news at least

Management has been watching him on camera for a while now apparently and they caught him playing on his phone outside for 2 hours

Nice!

One of my jobs it was management that showed up to work 2 hours late, sometimes sober, left early, started drama, wouldn't ever answer their phones.

I'm glad the people you work with are actually doing things to improve the situation :)
