@natethegreat and anyone else having a toothache, you know those diet shakes? Well, if you can't eat normally for day or two it's useful to buy some. They contain pretty nutritionally balanced food as they are supposed to be a meal replacement, and they'll help you stay full well you are unable to eat. You can also drink applesauce basically.

Yeah I'm with @xvarnah, I don't think you should dissolve it, you need that filling to keep your teeth from decaying and infecting your gum (which would REALLY hurt). But I guess what's done is done, make yourself some smoothies and slurp those down, just make sure you eat. Hope it gets better soon

I don't know how broke you are, but remember that shelter, food and health are the only things really worth spending your money on. You're going to regret it later when your tooth is rotting, spoiling the taste and smell of everything and then spreading the decay to the gum. (and I'm not even trying to scare you, just being 100% realistic) I assume you're from America (sorry if not) and I don't know a lot about health stuff there, but there must be a way.

oh yeah, that tooth is damaged beyond repair.
luckily it's the final tooth that has a filling that I have to deal with, all my other teeth are actually in pretty good shape.

No but seriously go do something about it, it can spread to the jaw! Even remove it.
