Sometimes, depression can hide under the surface of our consciousness, and there’s no clear indication as to why that is. As a blanket statement, one could say that unfulfilled time could be the cause. Perhaps it’s trauma from a past event, and the memory is either repressed, or hadn’t formed yet, but the emotions certainly have. As well, hunger, fatigue, and stagnation of the mind can cause feelings of depression. It’s definitely harder to recognize than a transparent depression. If you have an inkling of what it could be caused by, please do not hesitate to tell us. We are here for you, whether you’re feeling depressed, or so giddy you that you piss yourself.

Good on you for getting it out and for sharing. I salute you for that because I know that sometimes it can be hard but it's always worth it
I think it's a good thing that you're letting yourself feel your emotions even though you don't quite know what they mean. It's really important to let your emotions be felt because they're there for a reason and repressing them definitely isn't a good idea.
Just take deep breaths and keep looking after yourself, and feel what you need to feel; it might help you figure out what's causing it.
If you need anything don't hesitate to let us know and know that we all care for you and that your on our minds
Let us know how you're holding up, okay?
Keep safe and I hope you feel at peace soon

I don't have depression my self, however I have dealt (deal with still) several people who have depression . Main thing DON'T GIVE UP. You are loved. The very bad times will pass. I spent many years taking loved ones to different doctors and therapist. Talk to someone, try, try very hard not to isolate. Some doctors are straight up ,uncaring assholes. A loved one of mine, suffers from depression, many suicide attempts, trips to the hospital, life support ect. Call 911 (if you are in the US) if you think that you are going to do selfharm. Once you find a,good doctor things will get way better. Ten years of searching for the right doctor and therapist and medications and now a much better life for one of mt loved ones. It's a very hard situation for you now, but remember that you are loved. Reach out to your mom, dad, siblings, friends. Try to avoid self mediticating with alcohol ,drugs ect. I feel bad for you, but hang in there. YOU ARE LOVED.

Also, while situations affect depression, it is entirely possible that what is actually happening is primarily a chemical imbalance. If that is the case, finding the right medication may be important to feeling better.
Either way, I recommend trying to keep a consistent sleep schedule, eat healthy, and spend time doing things with people, bonus points for doing things you enjoy. If doing things with people isn't an option, doing things while other people are around is also a good idea. (You would. Be surprised the difference of wasting time on the internet in your bedroom alone vs in a cafe with other people around)
Of course, well getting out and being physically healthy are ideal, try not to cause yourself extra stress about it. If you have social anxiety, spend time with people who don't make you anxious if possible. If you smoke or are a coffee addict, now is probably not a good time to try and quit.
Don't give up. It gets better.

Yes, don't give up. The right meds (if needed, sometimes talking with a therapist helps) can talk awhile to get the right combination . It's hard, but hang in there. Funsubers got you. @bethorien gives the best Funsubstance hugs. Lol

@ntnick, everyone's got some really good advice but something I might just put out there is you might not be depressed. Not discounting that as a possibility but it is very normal just be "be sad" sometimes, everyone has low points and sometimes you have no clue why you feel a certain way. Usually, if that's the case then it's a mixture of things that have impacted you and eventually you just get overwhelmed but with no one thing to pinpoint, you get confused as to why you're overwhelmed. (I don't know if you're a girl or not) but hormones are also a big determiner, I know that about a week before my period I'm a god damn mess and in that state I'm actually unaware as to why I'm a mess. In times like these I write stuff down, I honestly think that it's one of the best ways to get feelings out and sometimes you write something and realise that "wow, that did actually hurt me, that might be the cause of this". If you don't like writing, try listening to music or watching videos.

Make sure you’re getting enough sleep. Not enough sleep impacts your mood in a major way. Talk to your loved ones or us, we’re always here for you. A really good tip that @asteriod already said is just cry, if you feel like crying then do it. There is no shame in feeling sad, there is nothing bad that can come from crying except a wet face but afterwards it lightens your chest. I hope you feel better soon, let us know how you’re doing x

Just another reminder that even if you are actually depressed, getting enough sleep and eating well can still fo a lot to help.
Also, remember that you are not worthless, you are not an inconvenience, you are wanted and you are loved.
