I used to ask people in school how many people they knew. Then they would respond and generally it wasn't too many people - some more than others, but not an incredible amount. Then I would ask if they thought it was possible that they could ever truly meet someone, given how many people they knew relative to the total number of people and geographic limitations, that was like THE person for them. I've met some amazing people. Some I cared so much about, but even with the ones you get a chance with everything's so damn fickle

Yeah, I often think about that. I used to have this bad habit of not wanting to start relationships because I always thought "well what if there's another person who's even more perfect and I'm not going to meet them because I'm with someone else", which is not only a very stupid thought but it prevented me from ever letting myself feel love. I've read so many amazing stories about couples and how they've met and they seem so perfect for each other. I think that as long as you're happy, as long as you and your partner are giving happiness to your lives and supporting each other then that's all you can ask for. If you keep looking for something that might not even be there, then you'll miss out on what's already in front of you (as the classic saying goes), you don't know what you got until it's gone. There are so many people in this world, if you're lucky enough to find someone who loves you and you love them, then they will become THE person.

I think it’s sort of important to find love nearby. Not only is it easier than a long distance relationship, but you’re more likely to share ideals. It’s just about not jumping at the first one I think
