Spiced apples are apples, and spiced pears are pears. There are many, maaaany recipes that put the two of them together though

I get that, I was just thinking what if apples were spicy? And then, my brain went to- Wait, are PEARS just apples that are spicy? Or is a spicy apple a Granny Smith type variety?

So, just so I follow, you're sort of postulating that a pear is so similar to an apple that it may as well be considered a flavor of apple, and that flavor is spicy?

I find apples spicer than pears.

Radishes are spicy apples. Pears are more like the chilled out cousin of the apple

I never said spicy, I just said spicier. They are spicier than pears but they still aren't spicy.
