You might as well just post the entire book, the whole thing is quotable!

That's what I've been noticing! Its gonna be so hard picking in the best ones so I don't end up spamming everyone. Perhaps I'll just post them in this chat

I hope you didn’t name your daughter Slartibartfast.
nobodyimportant · 4 years ago
@parisqeen she doesn't because it's so unique that she feels odd, so she goes by a nickname. I hope one day she will like it though.
@scatmandingo hahaha! Nope... But it was a close second!

I have read them all multiple times. I would kill to see Mostly Harmless turned into a movie.

After those books, check out his Dirk Gently books. "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" and "The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul".

I love the way the describe presidency:
" The President in particular is very much a figurehead - he wields no real power whatsoever. He is apparently chosen by the government, but the qualities he is required to display are not those of leadership but those of finely judged outrage. For this reason the President is always a controversial choice, always an infuriating but fascinating character. His job is not to wield power but to draw attention away from it."

@nobodyimportant I'm sure she will, I find most people go through a stage of hating their name. I grew out of mine at about age 14 but all before that I wanted to be called Lavender. My mum also had one and she wanted to be called Velvet. So glad neither of us legally changed our names.
