Watch out for dry socket... no smoking or straws it's the worst!!!!

Are you going to be under any sort of anaesthesia for it?
If so, you will feel nothing and be asleep th whole time pretty much.
You'll get to eat alot of Jell-O, so make some in advance

Be careful with the anesthesia some people get nightmares and night terrors on the first 2 nights after

Oh my, I hope that doesn't happen to me, but knowing my luck it will D:

I wouldn’t worry to much, I don’t know anyone that woke up to nightmares, but some would wake up in the middle of the night because they would clench their teeth

STAY ON TOP OF YOUR PAIN MEDS. Seriously, set alarms so you take your meds on time even at night. It's so much worse if they lapse and you're in agony until they finally kick back in.
Also, you don't necessarily need prescription strength meds. I was proscribed codeine and it made me nauseous af. Ended up doing just fine by rotating between ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and naproxin.
Smoothies, ice cream, and soups are your friends. Don't use straws, don't drink alcohol. Make sure the smoothies don't have little seeds that can get into your sockets.
Rinse and spit a lot the first day or so, and prepared for your first few meals to taste like blood.

Everything that riyriamistborn said
Also, sleep upright for the first 2 nights. The last thing you want is to swallow blood and making yourself sick

Ice and pain meds

Man it took those pain meds a long time to kick in, But they finally have and I have never been more relieved in my life Lol

Just make sure to stay on top of them! Set timers and alarms to wake up during the night to take meds. Waking up to pain is far less pleasant, then you lie there in agony waiting for them to kick in. So much better to wake up, take them, then go back to bed with only mild discomfort
