I've been having a seriously rough time recently and I want to talk to people about it, but I want to do so 100% anonymously for fear of people thinking less of me, or even worse, thinking of me like some sort of freak.
I originally wanted to make a temporary account and ask it here since I trust you all so much, but lo and behold the option to make a new profile is "currently undergoing maintenance", so that won't work. Hell in a couple minutes-hours you may even see a guest post pop up saying they want to admit some stuff, that was me before I forgot that guest's can't post comments anymore. I'm just so frustrated and I feel boxed in without a way to talk about my shit without anyone knowing my personal life, but I can't find a way and I just want to scream.
Any ideas?

There’s always that app “whisper” (I don’t know how long they let you rant but it’s worth a shot), Omegle or any other online chat generator, yik yak, that site of “fuck my life or you deserved it”, kik, tumblr, etc. And if none of those work out you can borrow my account here or talk to me anytime

I understand your frustration deeply, I never had anyone to mutually speak with confidence. I would suggest Reddit, there are decent people who do comment and advice on good faith. That was actually how I did it when I had no one to go to. It is scary to open up to a stranger even more so behind the screen. If you fear to give to much info start with some small post. Then progress to the heavy stuff. The people do take a while to respond or to comment, if your patient enough it could prove worth your time. I do believe they're free services online for "therapist" mainly if you want someone to listen. You could also try here as you are, no one will know who you're in real life (unless they have met you in person) and this community is a hidden gem with great people who are very alike with to each other. @honeybumblebee I'd love to post here, but I've been on this site for the past 4 years and I'm pretty sure 80% of the users know a decent bit of my life by now (not to sound like I'm bragging or anything). I trust you and everyone else here especially well, but this is one instance where everyone knows me too well for me to post this certain situation.

At the same time it would be a hell of a lot easier than making a new profile elsewhere, but idk, I'm afraid of the responses I'd get from people who know me (especially seeing as how one of my best irl friends scrolls through here from time to time) since it's something... sort of touchy. It's not illegal, and its nothing that people would hate me for, but idk

If you really want it here we could find a super old post with no comments and you could put your story there so no one sees it? Otherwise I still highly recommend sites like the ones I mentioned before

I don't frequent many sites a part from this one so I can only agree with everyone else's suggestions. You could even see if discord is a good place? Maybe they have a server where you can vent to strangers? idk.
Either way I hope this problem doesn't start to eat away at you too much, know that we wouldn't think any less of you here, hell we've all got our secrets and we're all weird in one way or another. I understand that want to be completely detached from that personal side though. I hope you start feeling better soon Ew.

I'm going to suggest caution with Kik. Idk anything about the other ones but Kik is apparently often used for sexual interactions due to it's anonymity. Fmylife is a bit eh since it ranks you with "I agree your life is fucked" or "you deserved it" and that doesn't sound like it's what you're after
