The more content this site pulls from around the net without moderation, the more fascist and white supremacy content is being delivered. The positivity and optimism - and political agnosticism - that used to differentiate this place from the zillion other meme sites is disappearing. I reckon we should find a way to make it clear to the new owner that we don't like it; maybe it'll help motivate change.
Assuming we don't like it. I don't presume to speak for everyone. I figure this post will be a kind of litmus test.

@SuperDave Thanks for your implication and listening to us!
@scatmandigo While I agree one account for bots would be nice, my problem with the aforementioned posts is not that I don't get they're from bots (I check for that right away now), I just find it of real bad taste. I know that bots have no concept of right or wrong and of course bots that recognize the type of content they steal would probably be expansive and that would be stupid, but maybe there's a way to add a filter so that a title containing "your support" or "passed away" or words like that could not be posted by bots? Or maybe not, I don't know.

Someone made a thread awhile ago asking people to post at least several times a day. Not sure if anyone's actually made the effort to or not
.
Either way, yes the personal and nein posts are annoying but once again I'd rather have the occasional irrelevant content than none at all
.
I'm honestly mostly participating here because I'm trying to figure out whether there actually are white supremacist posts or not but so far no one seems to have noticed anything concrete

I’m almost constantly on the All page and as far as I’ve seen there hasn’t been any posts like that as of late. And while it would be nice if we could go back to no bots, the site has certainly been on a decline. It’s like a huge chunk of the most popular users just logged off 2 years ago and never logged back on

As a side note - I'm unfamiliar with the 13/50 rule, but it got me curious so I decided to see what actual data was available.
.
Unfortunately people tend to forget when discussion statistics like this that it is horrifically flawed in many ways and often horrendously incomplete.
.
It can't accurately account for crimes that weren't reported, crimes that the perpetrator was never caught, crimes where the race was never reported, crimes where the wrong person was convicted, etc etc etc.
.
They best they can do is provide data on what we think we know based on offenders that have been prosecuted

That in mind, I poked around on crime-data-explorer, whose most recent data is from 2018. This is also only data for crimes considered violent (iirc blue collar crimes are almost always overwhelmingly committed by white people).
.
Also: I'm not comparing white vs black people here, even if it looks that way. I'm listing the highest offender/victim demographics, followed by whoever is in second place. These slots just tend to be taken up by white and black people more often than note. So that said:
.
Homicides:
Offenders: most commonly black (3,068). White people are in second place with 2,314 offenders.
.
Rape:
Offenders: white people are in the lead by far (35,164). Second place is black people at 15,506.
Weirdly the amount of victims are overwhelmingly white as well - which I only say is weird because it surpasses the amount of white offenders (victims: 43,151), and interracial rape tends to be a less common thing. 2nd place: black victims at 15,506

Robbery:
Offenders: Black - around 70k. 2nd place: white - 35k.
Victims: white: 56,000. 2nd place: black - 27,000.
Weirdly 777 alaskan/native Americans were also victims, but not a single Hawaiian was violently robbed in 2018, so we have that
.
Assault: offenders: white (127k); black (100k)
Victims: white: (159k); black (102k)
.
Arson: offenders: white (5,362); 2nd place goes to offenders of "unknown" races at 2,334.
Victims: white (7k); then black (2.8k)
.
Burglary:
Offenders: white (118,828); black: (111,786)
Victims: white victims are overwhelmingly in the lead at nearly 300,000. Black victims are the second most common, and come in at 77,310. Over 200,000 disparity there which is interesting
.
Larceny: offenders: white: 611,000; "Unknown": 366,000.
Victims: white: 1,006,876; black: 215,000
Vehicle theft:
Offenders: white (72,000); " Unknown" (366,000)
Victims: white (178k); black (51k).

What I take from this is if I’m going to rob someone I should go for a Hawaiian because they won’t be expecting it.

That's honestly where I was hoping you'd go with it. The Hawaiians have been getting off too easy lately

Sorry, but @xvarnah I don’t understand what the crime stats were about. Did someone say something that I missed?

Whoops. *sounds like nobody else has really noticed it. Thanks for your input (except that dickhead who accused me of virtue signalling, you can suck it), I'll drop it and just report posts that I think are problematic.

It'd be good to also post a link here for any future posts that show up. So we can see the posts and respond accordingly.

If you factor in only race, African-americans do commit a far higher % of crime vs their % of the population than most other groups, but that ignores economic inequality. If you look at it by economic inequality, something funny happens: crime rates even out among ALL ethnic groups.
Anyway, I think perhaps what @willfree might be noticing isn't the posts themselves, but a shift in the views of the people commenting on those posts as older users leave and new users join. I know I've been commenting a lot less, as I feel like I'm going over the same arguments and telling the same stories in the comments over and over and I find that I irk myself when I do that.

Well just to clarify - the point of the statistics wasn't to be like "you see! Black people are out there commiting crimes!" Was just a literal data dump for anyone who felt inclined to expand their knowledge on the subject
.
As for whether willfree was talking about comments or posts, idk. I asked for clarification but they didn't seem inclined to offer any. If it's the comments themselves and not the posts then I still don't know what they're talking about because I can't recall seeing comments saying whites are superior anytime recently. People argue and disagree, yes, but they should be able to do so. As far as I know guests have already been restricted severely in the comments, so what are we wanting to do here?
.
Single out problematic people? Most of the users on this site seem pretty decent from what I've seen. Even the few I don't get on with don't seem like bad people.
.
Without context of what exactly is being considered problematic it's hard to address the concern

I figured you weren't, but from time to time if I don't clarify on at least 3 separate occasions what my intent was then someone will feel the need to accuse me of something so I just like to get out in front of it at this point haha
