If you DL'd it to the SD card it should work just by switching SD cards.

Now... if it's a different DS and a different SD card, yeah, you're going to have to put in the time.

I can't even access the account. Even if you factory reset the old system, you can't log into a new one with the old one. You have to manually do the system transfer, with both systems in your possession.

Can you go 3rd party on it and recover your account information online and then put that into the new DS to grant access to your own account history (and thus, the download archive itself)? If they start erasing THAT kind of shit, there's no point in ever downloading anything.

I have the account information, but I literally cannot login on the new ds because I didn't unlink it on the old one before resseting it. You can't redownload things from the store anyway, if you want to keep a game when getting a new ds, you gotta actually have both ds-s, and to a system transfer. I spent all day looking into it yesterday.
