Yes. It's for any restricted firearm not just handguns. Now that I own this AR when I register it RCMP can come into my house and do as they like.

... and where are we on the whole "the rcmp can come into your home AFTER you've arrived home, and then force you to take a breathalyzer, and then accuse you of drunk driving" thing again?

Still working on that I believe. I'm going to double check though.

I hear Texas is nice this time of year

Well, looks like there's no fighting it. What has happened to my country?

Maryland area. I have two buddies there. We already started talking about buying a compound. I'm not kidding. I am losing hope in Canada.

I call it a good start

Remember the time that guy went around and killed a bunch of people with a knife so they put a ban on all knives?
.
Tbh I'm not even that big a fan of the general public having AR weapons, but the government is out of control. And they are literally using corona as a diversion to get whatever they want

Wow, that sounds incredibly dumb... I mean it's not like you're going to find an automatic AR unless it's been augmented... and then it's price is going to increase 15-20 fold.. and by doing such a thing you're only going to make them more valuable in the process...
@xvarnah the weather here is nice, but I fear it's going to be a humid summer. All signs are pointing to it being rather hot, which means more possible moisture in the air... and that means the east half is going to become like Houston in a good summer, and Houston itself is going to be Hell on Earth. The west half should still be fine tho.

Hearing this as an American makes me wish I had applied for my FOID sooner.

@xvarnah They totally are. Also, the general public doesn't have AR's. AR stands for Armalite and they don't even exist anymore.the AR's are used for target shooting and tournaments. I bought mine for both and so that when I enlist for the army I already know the rifle.
@funkmasterrex Dude, my rifle was $800 somehow. The average one is over $1,000 and Restricted. It's so idiotic.
@tarotnathers13th Get all the certificates you can get, man. I like Trump but don't trust the Feds to not ruin everything.
Man, I had one thing I was excited about and it's ruined. I don't know why I even bother getting out of bed anymore.

AR's shouldn't be for the general public, but I do think they should have access to guns, primarily for hunting, but also for self defense purposes

Pray tell, what counts as an AR?
adam44 · 3 years ago
Anything that looks military.

Exactly

Pretty sure you can buy full-auto guns as long as they're pre-1985 (or one of the years in the 80s, I forget) because those are somehow less dangerous than owning post 80s' guns.

Not in Canada. There is a Prohibited section of firearms but that is for military or police only.

I'm sorry to hear this, brother. Y'all need to hold on to your liberty with both hands. Remember the four boxes of liberty. Don't be silenced, defend or become your representative, litigate, and keep your powder dry.
