Out of curiosity what was the question?

Spain was under dictatorship of Franco for 36 years. He defeated the republicans with the help of Hitler and Mussolini. But the thing is I've never read about Franco.

I even googled "Longest dictatorship in history" and he wasn't there either.

I don't care if he was a good guy or bad guy (under his dictatorship spain had good relationship with the US).

I just want to know why Francisco Franco is not talked about.

And I came to know about spain and Franco from the historical fiction "the fountains of silence"

Well, he killed like 100k-200k people in his authoritarian reign, including political parties and organizations that threatened his rule of Spain. That might be why.
