Do you have the toe padding?????
I'm not 100% sure how to sew them, but to tie, you cross them in front, then cross aound the back of your ankle and then just keep wrapping the ribbon and tie it in a secure knot.
But also youtube to double check because it's been 12 years since I've done it

Yeah I got some gel toe pads and allegedly the shoes I have are padded (doesn’t ease the pain much though) but thank you!

Dental floss for the sewing. IMHO on the elastic- you might want to hold off. You might not need it, and if you see it wrong you can cause injury to your ankles. You don’t want the elastic too tight. What is too tight? That’s the part that can take some experience. Often they say “one finger” or “two fingers” should be able to slide between the elastic and you. The rest is pretty basic sewing. If you haven’t seen ribbon before, assuming it’s likely synthetic- use flame to melt the ends so it doesn’t unravel. Mark and measure everything. Only see to your lining, don’t go through the satin. See your straps in low and back- you’re trying to keep it to the heel, not the foot. Make a box or mark off around the draw string- you don’t want to sew that in. Attach things from one end and lay across your foot to test placement and length before you do the other side even though you’ve measured. It’s better before this step to have a little more than not enough. Good luck. Have fun. Be safe.
