Hey there! So I've had to translate 2 texts for my studies and it would be awesome if one or some of you could proofread them for me :')
And it would be ideal to not only look for mistakes - but if you think the wording sounds a bit off/stiff or if you have some better ideas to make it sound more fluent or beautiful, that would be great!
You can be quite creative, it doesn't have to be super close to the translated text

Thanks in advance!!!

oh and either comment it or straight up change it (if you're 100% sure) but please mark any changes :)

Sure, I can help out. I started doing it on my phone then realised that's probably not efficient...let me get it up on the computer

Thanks a bunch man! Very appreciated :)

No worries
From what I read it seemed to be pretty good, any improvements will be very minor

How pick do you want me to be btw?
I can be kinda anal on these things...

I agree with Cake - overall it looks good. Maybe a few minor things here and there, but I'll defer to his judgements

Good idea
After all @xvarnah your first language is Canadian, which is similar to English but it has many more occurrences of "eh" and "aboot" than proper English

My first language is sarcasm. My second language is Canadian, and I'm not even sure I'm fluent in that one either

@mialinay I've made some minor changes and left a suggestion in green text
Overall it was pretty good :)

Lol xvarnah :D
Thank you so much cake! (hehe I now know your name)
Those were some really neat additions! Although my prof said to capitalize the S in stop...He's American though, he might be wrong lol
cakelover · 1 week ago
Lol that's a pseudonym, not my real name
Ofc the American would do it incorrectly haha
cakelover · 1 week ago
In all seriousness, I'm fairly sure the s shouldn't be capitalised?
mialinay · 1 week ago
Hah dammit. Well idk..... Seeing as he marked it wrong with a lowercase s in his first correction, i guess I'll just capitalize it. He said it's because it's indirect speech and like an adressation at the beginning of a letter
