Can anyone give me some good recipes for Mum and I to cook together? Mum’s a vegetarian so it’s a little hard finding fun things we can both have and tasty to eat.

I have a veg recipe you could try. A traditional food in my country (Mauritius) but a bit complicated to do. I know of a video online which can help. However, do you understand french? If you do, I will comment the link and give you some tips as well as how it should be served.

Potato curry is quite easy and goes well with rice. Orrrrrr maybe you can go with veg soups?

There's literally the entire vegetarian side of Indian cuisine. If it's something simple, you can cook Sabzi (vegetables). For something fancy you can go with rice dishes like Pulav, Biryani etc. There's also curries, and lot of other things. That is of you are interested in Indian cuisine, Italian is also great, you can remove meat from a lot of dishes and it still tastes as good.

Pasta dishes. You can always cook a meat addition separately and add it to your own dish. But pasta dishes can be great as vegetarian options. Especially with good sauces

You need to eat this with some curries. I will post how to do them when you decide to do it.

Thanks sweetheart! I think I'll do it next weekend, but quick question, I've never heard of gram dal before, I'm going to check at the organic-exotic shop but just in case I don't find any, can I replace it with red lentils maybe? Or chickpeas?

Fried halloumi cheese on a bed of grilled corn, giant couscous, whatever vegetables you have that look good, lots of herbs and a lemon vinaigrette. It's my go-to in the summer.
