Don't go. Get a job instead. Start at bottom and work your way up.

Well are you moving into a dorm? Or just starting classes where you commute everyday?

I'd advise taking a gap year between high school and college but if you're already going, don't go overboard with your social life. I screwed myself over doing that. I was way sheltered before I left home and went completely "I'm going to do whatever I want" when I moved to the dorms and I dropped out a semester before I would've flunked out and had a bunch of debt to pay off for my trouble. So practice self control and self discipline and have a clear plan for what you need to do so you don't waste your time and money.

Yeah I'll be in the dorms. I'm taking the the summer off before i go, but am leary about much more of a gap than that. It seems like everybody from my home town that took a year or so between school and college ended up staying here. I love my town but fuck that. Also kinda concerned about the shock of going from a small town (5k people) to a city.

Do not I repeat DO NOT skip classes. Seriously it's stupid to do it, keep in mind that you're paying for it. Also DO NOT WALK OUT OF A LECTURE!!! Professors get mad when people do that. Like today five people left the lecture hall I was in and the professor was visibly mad. So what he did was give a pop quiz in which we only had to write our name and i.d. Be respectful and do your homework oh and if you have something like bb learn check it every single day mostly if your professors put up stuff without telling you. Any who good luck :)

Sleeeeep now as much as you can while you have the time, nights will come where you will wish for a 5 minutes naps but you can't...but always be positive about everything and I wish you a good luck.

Don't underestimate the difficulty of a class

Make times for naps, do your homework when assigned, and even if you are a morning person, don't get early morning classes. Also, see your school's counseling program for distressing activities. And good luck out there!
