I reccomend Avril Lavigne, however, I suggest you begin with the album "under my skin— Let Go" it has some of her best songs. Another good artist is Enya. Its kinda new age, celtic. Finally, The Trishas are amazing. They are country, but its more pop and romance/acoustic than country.

Bring Me The Horizon, from their earlier metalcore/deathcore stuff to newer stuff like their new album that sounds like linkin park. "Throne" is very good, music video is cool too. My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and for some good fun the band Exo, the branch Exo-K sings the songs in Korean, Exo-M in Mandarin. I like Exo-K a lot, look up "Overdose" "Growl" and "Black Pearl".
