"because its going to happen anyways" - weird. I didn't know it was a requirement to eventually take nudes and it would just happen one day, guess I should get ready for that....
The only way to know for sure you won't have nude pictures hacked or stolen is to not make them in the first place.
Not uploading to the cloud or having advanced security measures is like using a condom. A lot safer than nothing, but you are a heck of a lot more likely to get pregnant while using a condom than you are to not be having sex at all.
Doesn't mean you can't have sex (or take nude pictures) if you want, thats still your choice, but you need to always remember no matter how careful you are, you just might still get pregnant (or have those pictures stolen) and that there was 1 easy step you could have done to avoid it.

Right, because you totally shouldn't try to protect yourself against criminals doing illegal things. I mean its all the criminals fault, not mine right? If we blame them instead of taking precautions it'll magically solve everything right? Its not MY fault if I leave my keys in my car and somebody steals it. Its not MY fault if I don't lock my doors and windows while I'm out of the house and somebody comes in and steals my stuff.
Of course its the criminals fault, that in no way means you shouldn't take any preventative measures if you can. Especially if its something ridiculously easy to do.

Its something all teachers have to balance. You can't just blow through it so fast only the smartest kid follows, but you also can't repeat everything over and over until every last person in the class understands it. Because either way you have 90% of the class sitting there annoyed at that 10% and its wasting their time because that 90% isn't learning. No matter what though you won't please everybody

And then its just being paid for by the company. Might not seem like such a big deal for a big chain like Chilis, but if its a small mom and pop restaurant its more noticeable that its coming out of the owner's pocket. Nothings ever free, somebody somewhere is paying for it

Funfact: plasma is the exact opposite. So a person with O- can only give plasma to other O- but can receive from anybody, and AB+ can donate to anybody but can only receive from other AB+

There is no way countries wouldn't be having to deal with at least some of those issues. Its basic supply and demand. If the cost is extremely low, the demand (people wanting to go to college) for it would be a lot higher. The supply (teacher/universities) can only go so high, which means at some point they are going to have to limit it with something. Whether it be all the schools "stepping up their game" and making it that much more restrictive to get in to them (yay I get free college!.....oh but apparently I'm too dumb to get accepted anywhere...) or implementing a long waitlist (yay I get free college!....but I don't get to start for another 8 years before its my turn to go...). The US limits it by money. May not be the best limiting factor in some minds, but its what they do.
Also Harvard wouldn't be competing for students. Students would be competing (even more) to get into Harvard.
Think about this when you go to sleep. ;) 40 comments

Jumping in front of a train or bus is horrible. Thats like provoking a police officer to shoot you. Doing it last second so they have no time to brake doesn't make it better. You are forcing another human being to kill for you.

Womens bodies also produce large amounts of natural pain killers during labor. And many take additional pain killers to reduce it even more. The 2 guys probably got none of that
There's Some Validity In Raising The Minimum Wage 15 comments

Minimum wage isn't supposed to be a livable career wage. You aren't SUPPOSED to survive on 1 min wage job and feed your family of 10 with it. Min wage is just the lowest amount a company can legally pay somebody to do a menial job task. In other words "If I could pay you less, I would" Its meant for the High School kid working part time at McDonalds for a little extra cash or hiring some kid to sweep up a warehouse or answer a phone after school. Its not meant to be a career wage. Nobody, and I repeat that NOBODY should expect to be paid minimum wage for an extended period of time as a career. You shouldn't expect your pay raise to come from the government increasing min wage. You should expect a pay raise because you have worked somewhere a long time and done a good job. If you are working somewhere that you don't think any pay raise will ever happen....maybe you should reconsider where you are working

To clarify for most of the people that are too lazy to look stuff up. There was a law that removed a lot of the "safety nets" for parents that fall behind on child support. Previously, a parent could not pay for X amount of time and as long as they paid in full at some point in the future, it was all considered fine. So a lot of people were doing just that because it allows them to hold on to their money longer, and also causes an inconvenience for the other parent that probably relies on that monthly income.
By removing the safety net, it stopped all the parents purposely withholding child support to pay at a future date, but also negatively effects all the parents that happen to fall behind on child support for any other reason.
The guy involved was BEHIND on child support. He didn't overpay at all, he just paid up what he already owed. Whether it actually got changed without him knowing is another story.

This has nothing to do with being female. Its a courtesy statement to let you know part of your outfit isn't as it should be. Would be the same as saying:
-hey your shirt is untucked in the back
-your fly is down
-you missed a belt loop
-your underwear is showing (could be considered inappropriate)
-your tie is crooked
-one of your buttons is undone

The future of tomato sauce 50 comments

They did have these in America for a bit (at least a few places did) but they got rid of them because it takes a bunch more plastic (which means they cost more) and like many posters have said, they don't hold that much (which means people want more of them, again higher cost). There isn't anything special about squeezing the ketchup out, you can do that just as easily with the ketchup packets commonly used in the US. There is also a much better packet out there in some places in the US (dunno if other countries have it) that you can use to dip out of or squeeze (google heinz dip & squeeze). Although there were some lawsuits on that, not sure how that turned out so that could be part of why it hasn't grown in popularity.

Killing A Lion Is The Most Cowardly Thing You Can Do 28 comments

While I don't condone just skinning an animal and leaving the body, technically all of the animal DOES get used, just not by humans. Other large carnivores will eat it (bear/lion) then smaller scavenger carnivores (coyotes/hyenas) and then birds and smaller animals and bugs

What does wanting to be an optometrist have to do with anything? If somebody really wanted to be one, there are plenty of options to get it done. Lots of scholarships available, both for general purpose use and those specific to a field like optometry, plenty of loans available (even cheap ones by the government that "isn't helping") Depending on where you plan to work you can even get a lot of your tuition just outright paid for. For most doctor degrees a lot of places will pay for your tuition as long as you sign a contract saying you'll work for them once you graduate for X amount of years. If you plan on going to a smaller rural town, there are also a lot of grants to help get doctors out of the cities and into smaller towns.
.
None of thats what they were talking about though, they were just saying several ways a person could get a "livable wage" without getting a bachelor's degree+

Thats like saying guys want girls that weigh less THAN THEM. There is no "magic cutoff line between 'fat' and 'not fat'. Sure it may be the case some of the time, but that doesn't make it true all the time. Weight is also something that you can actively change without surgery. You can't just decide to work on getting taller. Also, I've seen plenty of women marry guys over a foot taller than them. I've also seen quite a few marry a guy who happened to be shorter than them. So your full of shit.
