So he is a sentimental dick, wow. And what kind of a douche will start drinking "heavily" and make "bad decisions" cause his mother died, when he was a fucking adult? That quote makes him actually more of a dope. How did Robin Willimas put it (after he was through with it): Cocaine is god's way of telling you: you have too much money.

Problem with this german proverb is: it's a straight lead to idiocracy. And yes, I guess its coming from a general (german) opinion that controversy is a bad thing.
Personally I fucking hate it when I have the better argument and my opponent says something like "let's stop this here, it's just your rhetorical skills are better" as if that means he's NOT wrong, he can't just phrase his idea right.
Oh, anbd I fucking hate it too being called defensive when I just don't want to be the "smarter" guy and give in, because I am right and he is not.
