Actually its the other way round: a happy person is likely to be healthy. If you tell someone he is fat, that's not gonna make him/her happy, right? Judging people by numbers is pretty much always bullshit, so how about just not doing it?

Try to improve your reading skills. The post you comment on does not say 70% of teenagers had an eating disorder, but rather that 70% feel they are "too fat" when they are definitely not. Which of course might attribute to developing an eating disorder.

Part of the problem is skinny people calling people "obese" when they can't see their ribcage. This is causing a lot of way more serious problems like anorexia. Nowadays up to 70% of teenagers feel they are "too fat" when they are perfectly ok and healthy. Obesity is BMI 30+, not being a little on the chubby side. Another part is that - even though the usual suspects will deny it, but hey, its science so prove it wrong or shut up - genetics make some 70% percent cause for obesity (not being "over"weight by some random standard).
