The reason that are senses cannot be trusted is due to hallucinations, etc...
But the wave/particle duality has nothing to do with the researcher. If an electron is observed, it is a particle. If not, it is a wave.

Santa will kill us all 18 comments

Yeah, but since there are 2e9 kids, and Santa delivers presents to 15%, there are 3hundred million kids Santa delivers presents to, not 3billion. Also, they assume that Santa carries all the presents in one trip. And to avoid the sonic boom issue, Santa could travel these ridiculous speeds in space, and launch presents on a ballistic trajectory into each home.
Santa is possible.

Yes, it is, as different parts of the world progressed at different rates. After Greece, Islam carried the intellectual torch from the Greeks, and then they entered their own dark age around ~1100 if memory serves me correctly. However, the conclusion is correct. If the Romans, Greeks, Islam, or the Christians had never entered a dark age, we would be massive technologically advanced.

You actually have the right to respectfully decline. Notify a lawyer, because forcing people to do the pledge is illegal.

Some elephants have more tusks than others because of genes. After the poachers come through, only the elephants that have the genes for short tusks are alive and available to breed.

The researchers are still using the game to solve other problems. Similar to foldit, and created by the same researchers, ETRNA.
Instead of protein folding, it is RNA folding. Enjoy!

So you meant not an actual dimension, but as a way to describe higher dimensions in a way that we can see them, right?

Color is a property of the electromagnetic force, electrical charge IS a force, momentum is a property of matter. Just because you can measure it does not mean it is a dimension. Also, there are no rules limiting the number of dimensions to 3 that physicists have found yet.

People also seem to misunderstand multiverses. There may not be a universe where hitler won or you and Emma Watson are together. The worlds defined by the many worlds hypothesis are supposedly created when quantum bits flip. So an alternate universe may be exactly the same. And this is a hypothesis, so when people go around stating as if it were unalterable truth, I'm not happy.

Dimensions concern spatial or temporal dimensions- as we have 3 spatial and one temporal. But this multiverse quantum woo has no place in a physics classroom.

Can you solve it? 20 comments

If all the numbers are odd, then three added together will also be odd. I'm not sure, but I don't think there is a proper solution with the given numbers.
