Well... correct me if I'm wrong, but it was a white officer who shot him. Black people were in the team, but we don't know whether they were present during the shooting or not.
Also , it's not blaming all white people. This case helped bring up other cases of racism in America related to the police department, like the fact that more black people are arrested compared to white people for crimes. There's so many cases of racism, and that was one.
