* "effect" (noun) is a result, something that happens because something caused it.
... "The EFFECT of Mullah Obama's new policy is to allow thousands of Muslims refugees into America." New policy = cause. Thousands of jihadis = effect
* "affect" (verb) describes how something will change something else
.... "If you sass CAIR, it will probably AFFECT what they think of you." Event = sass CAIR . this will affect their thinking.
