You don't have too!
If you were abused as a child, firstly I'm incredibly sorry for what happened to you and secondly there are many great services out there that can help you. They can help you deal with not only what happened to you but also ensure your own children don't have to go through what you've been through

They both illustrate a different cycle of abuse. The first is showing physical abuse and the second is showing verbal abuse. They are not a comparison ad and they are not saying that you shouldn't punish your children. This is for when it goes beyond that and turns into abuse and that child grows up to become an abuser because it's all they know. It's a sad situation and unfortunately it happens a lot more often than you think. But you can help! By donating to Save the Children (the charity who created these ads) you can help stop the cycle! Save the Children is a great organisation that strives to achieve different things and are actually managing to make a difference! They do work in a lot of different countries and I know that for the Australian division 84% of all donations go towards the cause and the rest is to cover admin fees. Now some of you may think that 84% is not a high enough number but it's actually one of the highest out there.
TL:DR- Donate to Save the Children
